Flashback to my beginnings
As a school student, I was fervent about drawing and sketching, and was frequently awarded and recognized as a top painter and sketcher. However, realizing this field might not satisfy my long-term ambitions, I shifted focus to digital creativity, honing my skills in Adobe Photoshop.
While pursuing my engineering degree, I crafted my first HTML website, kindling my passion for web development. After securing my Bachelor’s Degree, I deepened my expertise in technical aspects and programming languages such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, PHP, and C++. Despite numerous job offers, I was drawn towards honing my skills in the web business, so I declined the traditional route and enrolled in a Web Institute.
MY FIRST LESSON
Bookish Language doesn’t really help to become a successful web designer/developer.
Beginner
Stepping into the Web World
During my tenure at the Web Institute, I discovered a world where students and teachers were generating substantial income as part-time freelancers for US-based clients; this inspired me to follow suit. This inspired me to follow suit. I committed myself to learning the nuances of web business, scouring books and the web for insights.
My dedication bore fruit in 2012 when I secured my first freelance job at $1 per hour, with tasks including photo editing, web graphics, and basic HTML tasks. I poured my efforts into this job for six months, leading the client to increase my pay to $5 per hour. This milestone marked the beginning of my journey as a freelance web designer and developer. I continued to work part-time for several clients until, after completing my course, I decided to pursue freelancing full-time.
MY SECOND LESSON:
A strong determination to do something, leads your way to success.

At this juncture, I found handling client queries alone challenging. My father, despite not being from the tech industry, possesses a clear understanding of business dynamics and became my guide. He mentored me to work tirelessly with dedication, advised me to maintain a manageable client base, and emphasized the importance of building healthy relationships and delivering quality work.
Over the year, I worked with over 100 clients on a range of projects, from part-time to full-time, across various fields such as Branding, Graphic Designing, Website Designing, HTML5/CSS3, Core PHP, WordPress, Shopify, Magento, Mobile App Development, SEO, and Digital Marketing.
MY THIRD LESSON:
To be a successful freelance designer and developer, you should deliver quality work rather than focussing on quantity.
